Planners can make the most of the experience for event patrons by minimizing time spent waiting in registration lines. With the swipe of a credit card through an ePSPay℠ portable terminal, donors are assigned a bidder number that allows them to make purchases freely throughout the event until they are ready to check out.
At a 2006 Rotary Club event in Washington State, volunteers spent over eight hours just entering credit card numbers. With ePSPay℠, this can be done at pre-registration in just a few seconds,” said McConville. “Our technology allows volunteers to be more involved in the event, rather than having to focus on registration and coordinating donor information.”
ePSPay℠ smartcard terminals function independently so they don’t have to be linked together or to a computer via cables. The smartcard captures each donor’s bidder information from each terminal and transfers it to a computer via a smartcard reader. The reader is compatible with most current event-management software applications. The ePSPay℠ technology meets and is certified in accordance with VISA/MasterCard Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP).
